British giant to launch recruitment campaign in India
Amid high layoff gloom and cutbacks in wages due to the raging pandemic, a global outsourcing firm has crafted an ambitious hiring plan for India.
UK-based QX Global, which has established large centers across India, plans to hire over 1,200 people across all departments and backgrounds. By May 2022, the company plans to have more than 3,000 employees in India.
Experts claim that India’s huge pool of knowledge has helped the country remain the favorite haunt for KPO players.
“India is one of our main areas of interest. Indians have carved out a niche for themselves across the world with their intelligence, and after Covid-19 there is a greater need for such professionals to serve global clients, ”said Frank Robinson, director of QX Global, in an interview.
The pandemic resulted in around 30,000 to 35,000 job losses in India’s KPO and BPO sectors last year. It is estimated that 60,000 people have been placed on unpaid leave (or leave). The estimated number of job losses translates to around 0.68% of the 43.6 lakh employed by India’s IT and BPO industries.
QX Global is a bespoke knowledge process outsourcing company providing finance, accounting, recruiting, payroll, IT software and business consulting services. The company has major delivery centers located in Ahmedabad, Baroda, Mumbai and Noida. Its head office is based in the United Kingdom with a subsidiary in New Jersey, United States.
Robinson said what has worked for the company is the fact that QX Global is the first outsourcing company in India to be GDPR compliant. “This gives us a great advantage over other companies operating for the European Union market,” said Robinson. GDPR is a regulation of EU data protection and privacy law in the European Union and the European Economic Area (EEA). It also deals with the transfer of personal data outside the EU and the EEA.
QX Global, which has already grown to be Gujarat’s largest Knowledge Processing Outsourcing (KPO) company, works with clients that include accountants, businesses, healthcare providers, local government bodies and agencies. recruitment. “The growth of our employees is in line with the growth of our business. We are expanding into all of our divisions globally, ”says Robinson.
Like India, the United States is also a strategic growth market for QX Global with nearly 70 clients active in accounting, finance and recruiting processes. The company plans to double the number of customers and add offices in New York, Austin and Chicago, in addition to its existing headquarters in New Jersey.
“We are expanding around the world and India is an important part of our growth,” said Robinson. India covers over 70 percent of the KPO industry in the world and provides a plethora of services. Indian Tier I cities have been the torchbearers in the growth of the KPO and BPO sectors due to their better infrastructure, connectivity and talent.
Robinson said the exponential growth rate of the KPO industry is fueled by the need to acquire new customers, domain knowledge and a highly competitive market.
He said his company is recruiting talented freshmen from major Indian colleges to participate in a tailor-made training program. “We’re giving them a boost in their careers and helping them move from college to business. We are also looking for super talented people who have extensive experience in different industries and bring the skills we need to provide excellent service to our global clients.
“The outlook is superb. There are many exciting projects and plans in place for QX. We have a healthy pipeline and a lot of great new people are joining the company, ”adds Robinson.
