Cebu’s new office tower attracts IT-BPM companies
A newly completed offIce building by Cebu Landmasters, Inc. (CLI) sparks interest from expanding companies and information technology-business process management (IT-BPM) Firmes.
Mikko Barranda, director of Leechiu Property Consultants for commercial leasing, said in a statement that CLI Latitude Corporate Center has received numerous requests for space in Latitude from potential occupants, in particular Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) companies. These companies want to conclude the agreements by the second quarter of 2022.
“Even at the height of the blockages, IT-BPMs took up office space. We expect them to continue to do so as outsourcing to the Philippines is a viable solution for the recovery of Western economies, ”he said.
Many KPOs are looking to expand in Cebu, which is considered to be the region’s largest educational and economic center. Cebu offices are also said to be “less expensive” compared to business districts in Metro Manila.
Latitude has 23 floors – five floors from 8e to 12e floors with 2,000 m² floor plates dedicated to IT-BPM; three floors of 14e to 16e for large companies needing larger spaces; and eight floors of the 17e to 24e for entrepreneurs.
There is also a dedicated lobby and elevators for IT-BPM workers entering at night, and another for businesses and traditional offices.
Latitude also has sustainable features that meet Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence’s green building guidelines. It has a square with a tree reserve, a lounge in the sky and a garden terrace.
Latitude is located in Cebu Business Park, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority.
